Leaving in a few minutes for Boca. Weather looks great for game time. Looks like around 70-75 with only a 10% chance of rain. I understand ticket sales were very good. Go Herd!!!

Pretty excited for this game and I think we will have our hands full. NIU is going to try and play smash mouth football and Marshall needs to be ready for it. I'm just happy that Devon Johnson is healthy because he makes a huge difference.

Devon Johnson is a big huge GO for tonight! Practicing at full speed and the shoulder is fully healed and he's 100% as reported by Bill Cornwell this morning.

And with that mouthy NIU RB giving the Herd bulletin board material...I think we take them out.. But it will be a seriously tough game

About 80-81 degrees and sunny this morning and afternoon.
Partly cloudy this evening 75-78 degrees. I'm seeing 0% chance of rain.
Should be perfect weather. I'm heading over about 2pm. Fan Fest begins about 3pm EST. This should be a great game.

Marshall sold its allotment and bought up many more from the bowl headquarters. Going to be a huge Marshall crowd there today. NIU reportedly only sold 1,500 of its allotment. Game is sold out with the exception of a few scattered seats remaining in the endzone areas. Should be 75% Marshall in the stands. GO HERD!!!!

for those not familiar with how Marshall Math, it goes like this-

- if there's a small group of Marshall fans in one corner of the endzone that equals 50%.
- 2 sections worth equals about 2/3.
- more than half of 1 side equals everybody.

Also, anyone in attendance who is not painted head to toe in the opposing team's colors is not a fan of the opposing team and so by default is counted as a Marshall fan. If the opposing team's colors are also green and white then only a very specific shade of green counts, all other shades are counted as Herd fans. Also, fans of the opposing team that bought tickets by some other means than directly through the school or don't sit in a predetermined section of the stadium don't count and therefore are counted as Marshall fans.

Go team.

Coming from a fan base that couldn't even fill up 1/3 of their section for the Marshall game this year when you only have a 90 minute drive?

Now you know they sit all over our stadium in their kelly green Ohio (do they make those?) shirts and choose not to sit in the visitors section with the rest of their Ohio contingent that dress in their school colors.

Good luck in you bowl game...oh..wait...

Better yet, why don't they show the games at Peden?...You and your three friends could pile into your 1986 Honda hatchback, go dig up some wild ramps, and watch it on the Mini-tron while the three of you weave hemp necklaces and discuss the comfort of Birkenstock sandals vs the comfort of Jerusalem Cruisers.

Breaking news: Holliday set to sign long term deal to include bump in pay and years. Prior to this season, Holliday signed an extension that secured him through five seasons but did not include a pay bump at the time.
