Not really gloating. NIU is a decent team I just think its obvious the talent gap between the top of the Mac and CUSA. Hoping for the rest of our bowl teams to get some wins.

Agree, not gloating but, IMO, NIU was maybe 5th-6th best team in CUSA had they played there. I'd say LaTech, WKU, UAB (if they caught them on the right week), and Rice probably are better. UTEP, MTSU would be a push. Anyone of our teams were capable of beating them though. We are pretty strong top to bottom.

Agreed. The talent difference between CUSA and the MAC is absolutely noticeable. We played, what, half a MAC schedule this year?

the best team Marshall has had in a decade + a down year across the board for the MAC says nothing about a comparison of the talent between two conferences.

The MAC was 2-11 against other G5 conferences in OOC. Your MAC Champs not only lost they got their asses handed to them by 29 points. Of course you know what that's like as your Kitty's lost to the same team by 30.

The MAC has like a 3-13 record in bowl games the last 4 years or so. Just saying.

And Marshall has a winning record against MAC teams 1 of the last 4 seasons.

The BUGS just barely got by a 5 year program in South Alabama by a score of 33-28.

Realistically the MAC's #6 team, losing to 4 MAC West teams and not playing CMU.. BGSU is under a new HC and was decimated by injuries included losing its starting QB in the opener for the season. Is this the same Marshall team without Cato all season?
