They must have a different AUP than we do. "I hope his children get eaten by a grizzly?" For real?

Interesting that one guy was more worried about their senior players wearing beards.

Not to mention the question of "Where are they finding a grizzly in Memphis to be eaten?" The guy is obviously confused by the NBA team's moniker. Must not teach geography at BYU.04-chairshot

It's not about Memphis. BYU hates the Utah Ute more than anything. It was referring to a Ute.

My point is that's over the line, whoever he was referring to.

Mike Tyson-esque.

Interesting...

Quote:Label this the unintended consequence of playing football in a baseball stadium.

The brawl that ensued after Memphis’ clinching interception clearly was a by-product of the Marlins Park configuration, with most fans seated behind the BYU bench. So when a bunch of the Tigers ran toward the stands to celebrate, they went right through many of BYU’s players.

I found my favorite post:

"Looked to me like Memphis #97 has an awfully clean uniform. Did he play or was he just a thug looking for a fight?"

Great point...So they weren't rubbing BYU's faces in their victory they were running to their fans and family to celebrate.

RE: More BYU message boards
From a BYU fan who was at the game. He has the same perspective.

Quote:1st of all a very fun game to watch. We went to the Houston game last year and it had that feel. Just needed 1 more play. We also went to the Texas, UCF, and MTSU road games. So 3-2 with 2 heart breaking OT losses. Enjoyed traveling with the family to cool locations across the country. My wife is a flight attendant (we are not freckin' wealthy CBers).

About the fight. I think 1 of the reasons for this is right after the end/pick, 5-10 Memphis players ran across the field right into the BYU bench jumping up and screaming. The reason they did this was not to taunt the byu guys but to celebrate with friends and family who were seated behind Memphis. The weird stadium had both fan sections behind BYU. If you look where the fight was it was on our side of the field away from where the play ended. Too bad both teams played there hearts out.

Anyways, love being a BYU fan. Hoping for an improvement on defense and a top 25 finish next year. Goooooo Cougars!
