It's good for Doc, but if Pitt is interested they'll offer before this deal is scheduled to be signed.

Even more of a sign that Narduzzi is the guy at Pitt.

I'm very happy to see this. Doc has done a great deal for our program on and off the field, and has, IMO, garnered a great deal of respect both within athletics and the general university. I hope he stays here until he decides to hang up his whistle and call it quits.

Not necessarily. We have some alums with the deepest of pockets (Jim Justice/Chris Cline) who could and would counter anything Pitt offers if they really wanted Doc to stay.

like many, I have stated that Doc was going to be a target that didn't think you guys would be able to survive.....

If you guys make it through the coaching 'silly season', you get major props from a g5 fan that only wants to be able to compete.

He has proven that is possible.

Good luck to you guys tonight! It is easily the one game I 'want' to watch this bowl season.

I hope DH runs right through their nuts all night long.....it will give Cato carte blanche

Thanks Stinkfist. We hope to do the conference proud tonight. Its sold out and supposedly the crowd for Marshall is supposed to be huge. We sold our allotment and have a huge alumni base in Florida. Hopefully we come out the winner tonight.

I think the hardest thing about the G5 level is being able to keep good coaches.

is easily right there with soliciting donor dollars....

the answer is always about dollars....every now and then you get a Frank Beamer or Jeff Bower....and one can only hope they get to experience that in their lifetime.....it's pretty damn cool!

Absolutely. Doc has definitely turned things around, Mark Snyder seems like a distant memory at this point.

Not many schools out there looking for an "up-and-comer" G5 ball coach that is 57 years old. That is a huge benefit for Marshall just like it is for ECU and UCF. We all have quality coaches that are in the twilight of their careers.

I think you mean Chris Cline. But yes Marshall has a booster Jim Justice (1.45 billion) that has more money than T Boone Pickens and Chis Cline who is just short of a billionaire at 950 million.

And thanks to Mike Hamrick and the late Dr Kopp for cultivating those relationships who over the years had been strained if not severed by being ignored. I know duing Jill Justice 06-09 (Jim Justices daughter) playing days, JJ wasn't on the best terms with Marshall.

Sounds like Pitt's search is over if they can agree on contract terms with Narduzzi. A little surprised they didn't interview a few more candidates. CSU slot is filled not any other programs looking for coach that Narduzzi would be interested in.
