I wondered about this so I looked it up:

Elliott's 54-yard kick was the longest field goal in overtime at the FBS level, according to STATS.

It is the longest in the storied Miami Beach Bowl history and probably will remain so for many years.

They start at the 25....which means we had to go backwards 12 yards to set that "record"

Isn't that kid awesome. I went to the game down here in Houston, during his freshman year, and he was just clutch....and tackled some guys. My family and I had a good time talking with other Memphis fans about how much of a football player he was... I'm really happy for the guy, and I pretty sure he'll be playing on Sundays. 'Course, his first love is tennis..... 03-lmfao

The Miami bowl looks like a lot of fun, I bet it will be one of the more popular mid bowls in a couple of yrs.

The Marlin might oppose it, but they really need to bring in bleachers for the outfield side of the field. Part of the reason the fight started was that the Tigers had to go toward the fans.

Great stadium, bad set up for a bowl.
