Lamar hits one of two, then Peera steps out of bounds

This one's over. Not one we should have lost.

Well, Rice didn't leave any fouls on the table. Mency the third Owl to foul out. Final will be 79-72.

The only real difference in the game with the friendly home whistile. Lamar was 27 - 40 from the line vs. only 17 - 24 for the Owls.

I thought the extra conditioning was supposed to help Rice finish these close games? So far, lots of late, close losses, just like the last couple years under Braun. I'm very excited for the day when this all translates to wins (and I'm sure the players and coaches are even more excited for that day)!

The game to attend will be the January 2nd matchup with UTSA. That might be the last chance for a win this season (at least according to Massey - who predicted a 5-point loss versus Lamar).

I have to say we have exceeded my expectations on this recent stretch. I thought we would lose to St Eds.
and taking any D-1 team in the country to OT on the road is an overachieve for Rice
It is worrisome that we have some younger scholarship guys not contributing.

In several of those games, we made it close at the end, as opposed to faltering down the stretch. I think the issue is limited talent and experience as opposed to conditioning.

This is certainly consistent with what I have seen this year as opposed to end of game collapses, which was an issue under Braun

We will be fine. This team is very young and has limited talent. This was also an away game. I don't agree with Macey. I think 6 to 8 wins is possible.
