I know Michigan is having a tough year, and already lost to the likes of NJIT...but if we can have a thread for every ECU bb game, I thought we could at least get some love for a good OOC road win.

Our only losses this year are @ Gonzaga, @ Indiana and home to Arkansas. And those losses were without one of our best players in Markus Kennedy.

SMU has a nice program this year and 3 "good" losses. Keep it up and youll get tourney consideration.

Michigan also lost to EMU. Beating Michigan isn't a noteworthy event.

SMU was supposed to win 2/3 from Gonzago, Indiana, and Arkansas but you lost all 3. Beating Michigan doesn't make up for that.

SMU was supposed to be a flag bearer in basketball but so far your program has failed to do that.

Indeed, SMU is looking good... and has a ton of potential to be BETTER with Kennedy back!

I put you guys in the mix with the top teams in the country as the season goes on and your team matures/gels.

Any win in Ann Arbor is noteworthy.

SMU, going into this season, was thought to be playing Mudiay and Kennedy in their starting lineup.

Those two losses were huge to start the season.

Now that Kennedy is back, their ceiling just got a lot higher. You can't fault them for losing to those good teams with all of the unexpected turmoil.

Our best player was ineligible UNTIL the Michigan game. What do you not understand about that?

How's your program bud?

It's funny getting lectured to in basketball by a UCF fan.

SMU have underachieved so far this year - so he does have SOME kind of point. I think that SMU will recover in conference play and make the tournament, however.

By the way, the fact that his UCF squad have a sub 200 RPI does not help nor harm his credibility.

Just because someone is a fan of a good team doesn't make their opinions better than the fan of a bad team.

Goodness, SMU fans act like SMU has been relevant for more than a year and a half. If it weren't for Larry Brown you would still be down here one step up above ECU and UCF.

SMU hasn't underachieve considering they were trying to find balance with 2 key players not with them. Go back to sleep UCF and Tulane fan.

We gave him an extension last year up to 2021. Don't ask me why because I couldn't tell you.

LOL. Yep, it's a good thing Illinois-Chicago doesn't have a football team because we would have lost to them. But that's not the point here. The point is that the UCF fan that launched an attack on SMU's program rather than posting a simple "congrats" did so knowing full well that UCF's basketball program isn't exactly the pride of the conference. You get what you ask for.

Yikes. Well hopefully it was an extension like the one we gave June: one that made it easy for the school to get out of the contract.
