The only real difference I see is that New Yorkers get to the point faster. They want to get to the truth and they don't care whose feelings are hurt. Texans are more laid back and they tend to sugarcoat things a little, although they can be just as cocky as New Yorkers. The difference between the two is small, but its real.

to extrapolate, I wonder what the percentage of displaced yankees are posters on this board....

I'm from Stl which is easily considered a yankee do'n here....

Notice I said I-26/I-95 interchange to Savannah. Unless those have been annexed by Florida -- and Florida continued to annex until that became South Florida -- I'm not sure what you're on about. The glut of Yankees peeled off very heavily passing Parris Island, Hilton Head, Beaufort, etc. It finally returned to normal traffic south of Savannah.
