If we can make one after beating a d3 school then we should definitely have them for D1 games. Bad loss tonight smh. At least we still have Lebo til 2021

Neither thread is necessary!

RE: No ECU Basketball thread after loss to UNCW tonight???
ECU basketball is not necessary. I always support the Pirates in any sport and I enjoyed our run in the CBI as much or more than most but what are we doing? You see the coaching hires in this conference in football by teams to make themselves better. Heck Houston had a season that was worse than ours by only 1 loss and fired their coach and went out and got somebody better. I know we aren't swimming in money but if we are going to be trying to compete in a conference with national champions it's not going to work to hitch our wagon long term to a coach with a career winning percentage of .564 and two winning seasons in conference since 2004. At least we built a $15 million facility to house our CBI trophy.

Our conference results this year are going to be ugly! I'll give it a couple years to see if our new conference affiliation helps at all but I'm not holding my breath.

If we can't get kids that want to play in a conference as great as the AAC with games on ESPN then we are in trouble. If we could just be competitive in the next 2 or 3 years our fanbase would stand behind the team. The apathy that losing creates is hard to get over but being in this league ECU has already become a much better job for an up and coming coach if Lebo just can't build a competitive team. He has brought us more success than we have seen in a long long time and I think he is a good coach, I really would like to see him succeed.

ECU and UCF basketball is terrible and don't deserve threads.

Go UConn and the other traditional basketball powers.

I'd really like to see him succeed, but I don't think he does a good job of coaching what we have. Even when Sampson, Kemp, and the gang were here, he mismanaged personnel and did not have a gameplan for their talents.

The bad hire we made in the athletics director position is the first thing that needs to be addressed, but it will take a new chancellor to make that happen.

Holland was very vocal and made himself available every opportunity he had. I have a hard time remembering the new guys name, that's how little he's done so far.

Lebo is a secret agent bent on keeping ECU basketball terrible.

When you let the enemy run your program, these are the results you can expect.

There are also ex UNC players coaching at Appalachian State, High Point, and UNC Greensboro and, up until last year, at UNC Wilmington. Its a conspiracy!

They were 80 some spots better actually in the RPI and fired their coach, we gave ours as 7 year extension and that's with more fan support, or at least we did have it.

We play Lebo 3 times more than our last coach, almost a 3rd higher paid than schools like ODU and Charlotte. Commitment is there. We just got idiots running the program and giving extensions in the middle of shat seasons.

Exactly. We have underachieved all of the last 4 years, and have some of the best players I have ever seen in an ECU uniform playing role man minutes like Kemp, Richmond and now Tyson. It's ridiculous especially to have them behind guys like Corvon Gaines and Robinson. I have no faith in a coach with shat rotations like this.

We basically set this coach up for retirement. How silly is that?

App's new coach is not a UNC guy. He went to some state school in New York I've never heard of, started coaching HS basketball and eventually became an assistant at Davidson. He was there for like 15 years before taking the App job.

Have to say that after watching them a few times this year, I'm pretty impressed with him so far.

Didn't realize they had a new coach this year but they had a UNC guy until last year.

Pony up some money. Our senile old geezer fans with the $$$$ care more about a good baseball program than basketball. It' idiotic. Fact is our basketball "program" is a ******* embarrassment.

Lebo didn't really do much of **** before he got to ECU. Flash in the pan season at TN Tech and halfway decent success at Auburn... I guess.

I'm officially on the fire Lebo bandwagon. We're going to get skull f****d in conference with his rotations and recruiting "skills".
