RE: MAC BBall WK7 (12/21 - 12/27)
We play at Wisconsin on Sunday so regardless is we win or lose, our RPI will stay in the top 25 from that game. Then we wrap up non-conference games at Binghamton and home against Cornell, which should both be wins, but they will probably drop our RPI.

and judging from those MAC RPIs, yours can only go down from here all through the rest of the season.

27. Buffalo
99. Bowling Green
104. Eastern Michigan
135. Akron
145. Central Michigan
145. Kent State
176. Toledo
182. Western Michigan
231. Ohio
281. Northern Illinois
288. Ball State
293. Miami (OH)
Buffalo looking good! All they have to do is keep winning!
The Conference RPI:
(1-6 are the usual subjects: P5 plus the Big East)
7 Atlantic 10 Conference
8 American Athletic Conference
9 West Coast Conference
10 Missouri Valley Conference
11 Mountain West Conference
12 Big West Conference
13 Mid American Conference
14 Horizon League
15 Ivy League
16 Patriot League
17 Colonial Athletic Assn
18 Independents
19 Conference USA
20 Northeast Conference
No offense to UB, but #27 in the country? Really???
Not one marque win. Hasn't UB only played one top team, Kentucky?
I looked at the RPIs and many are flat out laughable. Incarnate Word is ranked higher than G'Town, Ohio State, etc.

It is because we have played six true road games so far including at Kentucky, who is #1 in the RPI... The system values road wins and really doesn't punish you much for road losses so that is why our RPI is so high...

You're stuck in FBS type thinking where the judgement of perceived value trumps actual results. RPI is just math, RPI doesn't care about your (or anyone else's) perception of value of Incarnate World vs G'Town. It's just a math formula.
That's the beauty of it, human bias is not part of the equation.
