They are sucking all the excitement out of the the season for everyone else in the top 25. I'm sure its all gravy for UK fans and those here that worship at Calipari's feet, but what about the other 80% of the country?

The tourney won't even be a contest.

Cal needs to move to the next level now. He's beginning to feel like a world class fighter who wants to continue destroying club fighters instead of challenging the best in the world.

He's conquered the mountain and he is now embarrassing the mountain. Time to find a bigger mountain.

03-zzz

I agree. He has taken the one and done to a new level of boredom (if you are not a ky fan). He is a very good coach but even better business man. and for those who think he doesn't cheat...not every 5 star "always wanted to go to ky." But they are going there. WWW is till hanging around.

Why would Cal/KY need to buy players? He is established as one of the best in the business and KY is the elite of the elite. His kids are going to the NBA regardless of gaudy stats and he is making deep deep tourney runs.

Just a silly statement. Like saying Saban/Bama has to buy players.

A sillier notion is that neither Cal nor Saban buy players. It's the nature of the beast. Upper echelon players come with a price. Medium and lower level come with less of a price. Nature. Of. The. Beast.

The sillier notion is the insinuation that they're the only ones doing it.

I'm assuming you've taken a half-day to watch the Tigers play and you've had a few too many ...

Though I agree Cal has a really good system in place & plenty to sell...he's as dirty as it gets. Granted it goes on everywhere, but just b/c he doesn't HAVE to cheat, doesn't mean he won't...

Cal cheated here - flat out paid dudes. Took care of mommas, uncles, brothers, friends, etc. I know the details surrounding some cases, there are those who know way more than I do too.

Cal is cheating there. No question about it. 5 stars aren't riding pine for their love of BBN or a chance at a ring. Maybe 1 would be willing, but not 5...c'mon

You make the point. Getting top 10 players to come to memphis was an outlier. Getting those kids in the scenario my previous post dictates is a different animal. Are you saying Krzjrzkyi at Duke cheats? Or Roy? Or Self?

Or does Cal just have to cheat to get his kids?

Well, Roy may or may not cheat, but if you've read anything about UNC's "special" classes for athletes, then you know the school cheats. Now, if UNC cheats (I mean, UGA ran Harrick off for similar stuff), what do you think other places do?

Nothing I said was defensive. Learn to read. Everyone is agenda driven, some of us just have opinions.

yea...Roy cheats. K cheats. Self cheats.

I mean, they may not get their hands dirty - cal doesn't either - that's not how things work. But they know it's going on. They encourage it. It's the nature of the beast.

I was good friends with the girlfriend of a local prep star who went to an ACC school. She always talked about all sorts of things his coach set up for her boyfriend.

My best friend dated the daughter of a former Memphis assistant - he heard stories straight from the horses mouth. Dude didn't even try to hide it...laughed about it.

I'm not saying Cal is the only one who does it. It happens everywhere on the highest level of college athletics.
