You see GaSo fans, when it comes to bowl season there is no room for backhanded comments. At this point in the season we need each team to garner the full support of the league in order to climb the rankings.
Haven't you realized by now there's no trying to talk sense to online GaSo fans?
GASOU fans just thought ULL would represent SBC better. The stadium was empty, game wasn't exciting, and it was an overall boring game.
On a positive note, ULL won the game! I'm not sure if bowl committee will be happy of slack attendance from a school that's only an hour drive away and majority of alum living in N.O.
Glad to see SBC @ 1-0
I think you meant to say good win. Running off at the month must be caused by the sewer ditch on your campus. Like they say don't drink the water.

34,000 and change is decent for a 10:00 am game time. We represented just fine holding Nevada to just 3 points. I agree we squandered several opportunities to put the game away and it was frustrating. But that's how we play, with very few exceptions have we ever just skull drug teams even when we are the superior team.
GaSo will likely get a shot at a bowl game next season. We shall see how you guys perform then.

Please don't rope me in with YOUR opinion. Thanks.
Cajun's played a solid game today. Good win and congrats on a 4th Bowl victory in a row!

Thanks alot Fark!. I think to be able to hold any MWC team to 3 points is an awesome accomplishment, especially with their over rated QB we had to hear about the past 2 weeks.
I think to be the only FBS team to win the same bowl in 4 consecutive years says alot about the program.
Good job Seniors for getting it going when y'all were Freshmen.

The 4th largest crowd in NOLA bowl history.....the other three record crowds also held by the Cajuns. Yeah, the bowl committee is already looking for someone else.
I just figured you'd have more than 40,000 at dome for basically a home game. Honestly, ULL would have sold more tickets than GS if they were in game because of the 9 hour drive from Boro to N.O.
GS doesn't have alum in your state. We are generally in ATL and Jacksonville

great win ULL, the final score didn't reflect how you dominated Nevada, I thought the crowd was great, atleast 15,000 ULL supporters, I don't care that the campus is only an hour away, that is still really strong support.

Napoleon Dynamite was on Comedy Central. It looked more entertaining than what the crowd at the dome was experiencing during commercial breaks

I think some of yall got a D- in geography. The University of Louisiana is about 2.5 hours away from NOLA.
34k is lower than we have had in the past but still one of the highest attendance numbers in the NOLA Bowl.

I'm about to start giving out negative reps to some of these people. I'm ashamed to say we graduated from the same school.

The last 3 New Orleans bowls, we had over 40,000 Cajun fans. You can blame the slack in attedance to the bowl commitee for the early start time, but we still probably had over 30,000 Cajun fans.
Because of the Cajun fans, the NO Bowl has had its 4 largest crowds. How many G5 schools bring over 40k to a game when it starts at a reasonable time, even though Lafayette is only 2 1/2 hours away. I would say not many if any.

I hear us. 11:00 start is not fun. Heck, they don't even start Big 10 games that early. Honestly, your fans are probably tired of going to the same place 4 consecutive years. Any school would be mad.
Hear in NJ, RUTGERS fans cry about the possibility of playing at Yankee stadium for the 3rd consecutive time. It's cold, stadium sucks for football, and expensive. Parking is 60 bucks!
I'm sure your alum would rather play a game in Houston or Florida and enjoy the vacation to get out of the state. That's what bowl games are about

that tailgate must have been short. By the time I'd fry an egg, cook some taylor ham, and melted my cheese for my everything bagel, it would be time to walk to the game. It would be difficult to throw a few down before 9 am at my age. I'm no spring chicken anymore

People in Lafayette love going to the city of New Orleans, it's probably the best destination for food and partying. Houston is a close 2nd that Cajun fans like to visit.
I don't think many people were mad. It's better than Montgomery, Boise, Albuquerque, or places like that. I live in boise and I know if Boise was only an hour away from Lafayette, they would not like it.
The Cajun people like to cook and party for games, that's why tailgating at a UL game is fun. With the 10am start time it was impossible to tailgate
