I hope BG ends 7-7 and have a miserable offseason as usual. Show that they really really didnt deserve a shot at the MACC.

RE: MAC Bowl Games
Normally I cheer against BG but Id rather have a MAC championship participant win, no matter the reasons why they shouldn't be there, win. Plain and simple.
Especially a Sun Belt team that has never bowled before.

Yes, good luck boys! Go MAC. I think we have a good shot to win both of these, especially WMU.

I would argue that BG did deserve to play in the MACC. Everyone knew the rules before the season started and BG did what it took to earn their spot at Ford Field.
Just because Toledo is a better football team than BG this year does not mean BG didn't earn a spot at Ford Field. Just because UT plays in a tougher division and has found it impossible to defeat NIU for the past five years does not mean that BG didn't "deserve" to be in the MACC game (with the hidden implication that UT did).
The MACC game is about matching the team with the best record from the East against the team with the best record from the West, a match up which is not necessarily always the two best teams in the league.

WMU and Air Force should be a great match up. No matter the outcome, it should be a good, close game. Hopefully WMU can pull out the win.

What if Temple didn't leave the MAC?
BG would be in the West (and probably be 5-7). Who would've represented the East? Temple?

Temple this year is way better than BG. But considering Temple couldnt beat teams with .500 or better records, OU would have won the East... In that case I would still have rooted for OU vs. USA because their colors are not brown and Orange and they dont still pee the bed.

That touchdown pass on the post pattern to Davis, looked a lot like Toledo's passes to Reedy against AF in the Military Bowl a few years back. RTB Broncos!!!

Said it on the WMU board several times.
I can't believe we were favored in that game. That was easy Vegas money earned.
We're a program with a dismal post season record, playing a 9-win MWC team that beat Boise State by 2 TDs. An opponent that would probably beat every current MAC team on a neutral field. Our biggest weapon (Franklin) still questionable if his ankle was fully healed from the EMU sprain.
And we were favored?

RE: MAC Bowl Games
AF is a difficult matchup, WMU hung tough. I know that Franklin has been dinged, was Chance dinged as well, he only got 1 carry? Seemed like WMU abandoned the run game way too early. The fumble return for a TD was the back breaker.

If you transpose this year's Temple, yeah, most likely, as they would have been short odds to be undefeated in this year's East minus BG. Looking at Sagarin, the strength of the Go5 divisions sorts out to:
Tier 1: MWC Mountain
Tier 2: CUSA East, MAC West, MWC West, CUSA West
Tier 3: Sunbelt
Tier 4: MAC East
... and that would get even more extreme if you take out the one barely-bowl-eligible MAC East school. So a team good enough to be .500 in the American should be expected to win all of their (MAC East - BGU) games (And depending on their cross-division schedule, maybe pick up a win cross-division from a losing MAC West school), and so be the only above .500 MAC East school.
