It happened at UC vs Pitt in 2008. We charged the field early twice and never got a penalty thrown. No band geek got run over, but it was remarkably similar. And the winner of the game got a trip to the Orange Bowl.

That is pretty good, but the difference is the band was on the field while the play was still going on, as opposed to just coming on the field before the game was over (which has happened a few times). I think that is what he means by the circumstances not being duplicated.

If you watch the UC video at around 1:40 you can clearly see that we rush the field while the final play is still going on. They do a lot more laterals but the play doesn't end until around 1:58.

If Pitt would have scored, they would have tied the game.
