Morgantown has an airport. Clarksburg/Bridgeport is 20 min away has an airport that Big 12 teams fly into. Here is a link for you.
Airport.
Yes, leaps and bounds. WVU is 14th in all time football wins, UC is somewhere in the 50's I believe.
Look... The airport thing is stupid and not an issue but...
The North-Central Regional airport (Clarksburg) is closer to 40 minutes away. (And before you say it, I live in Morgantown and drive 79 between Mo'town and Charleston at least every-other-week to pick up my kids)

Don't be bitter and just accept that you are stuck in the AAC with us. If Cincy was as desirable as WVU they would have been taken back in 2012 when the Big 12 needed a team. Move on.
I have no problem being stuck in the aac with Houston. Matter of fact, I saw a great game with Houston this year at PBS. The problem is our programs are being suffocated due to conferences aligned with networks. We cannot move on. West Virginia's value in the Big Twelve is not due to its top 14 in all time wins, rather its association with Texas and Oklahoma. When West Virginia was in the Big East, their value was 8 million per year. You are telling me their value was undervalued by 20 million. Texas and Oklahoma have to play someone. It is just untrue, when fans of teams like Indiana, Iowa State and yes West Virginia (not nearly as much) want to pretend there p5 status is earned. It is all about politics and it stinks.

The airplane thing is not "stupid" because the poster is asserting that Morgantown is in the middle of somewhere. 40 minute commute is what my research also says, 36 miles.

BTW, I like WVU. My father graduated from the fine institution, but it is not leaps and bounds ahead of Cincy.
Since 2002, West Virginia has many more wins in the head to head, but the games are very competitive.
2002 wvu 35-32
2003 Cincy 15-13
2005 wvu 38-0
2006 wvu 42-24
2007 wvu 28-23
2008 cincy 26-23
2009 cincy24-21
2010 wvu 37-10
2011 wvu 24-21
6 out of nine have been settled by less than a td. 5 out of nine by less than a field goal. You should be able to see why I do not feel leaps and bounds superiority by WVU. I cannot quantify perception, and I know that WVU leads here, but Cincinnati also has things that WVU cannot offer.

Perceptions? How many BCS Bowl wins does UC have during that time period?

Lets keep our eye on the ball here. A poster claims that the reason Cincy will never be in the Big 12 is Texas will not associate with Cincy. By extension, why was WVU included, and by extension, why do they continue to associate with ISU et al. I understand that WVU won their four BCS games while we lost our two BCS games. So what is the criteria to associate with Texas. If you make a BCS game, you have to win. You have to be in more than two BCS games or none.
I did not mean this to be UC v. WVU thread, rather I only question the poster and his Texas remark.

Those comments keep BYU an Colorado State in the picture as well as Cincinnati and Memphis.

T.C.U. and W.V.U. were added because both were willing to do what it took to be in the Big 12 the following season after the departures of Missouri and A&M. 10 schools were needed to keep their television contract enforced. That is why W.V.U. got the selection over Louisville who decided it wiser to wait and cheaper to serve notice. In the end Louisville was the bigger winner because of their patience.
Now Texas and Oklahoma and Kansas all want to wait out the ACC's options to see what happens before deciding on a course of action. The only reason expansion came up again was to pacify disgruntled fans who were angry after the snub to T.C.U. and Baylor. The talk of expansion makes it look like the conference is doing something instead of just taking it on the chin. It's all a big stall.

If by in the picture you mean that they all continue to hope the Big XII will be forced to expand by the other power conferences in the near future, I guess you could say that. But that's about it.
