I wrote back and told them to place me on their do not call and write list. I also said I will talk to them after Ray is gone and there is a plan to bring the 3 sports back.

The nerve of them to hit me up now. The delusion is so freakin deep.

If you're committed, defy the "president" and bring back football!

I think it is an literally impossible for the athletic department to bring back sports without the approval of the president.

You're probably right.

But in the event that he gets NoCo-ed, would it be possible?

Definitely not possible with Watts in office, so step one, we take his office away.

I got a similar letter, I assume, and it didnt get my shorts in a wad. Those guys who are left cant help or take any blame for what transpired and shouldnt get any grief from any of us.

Got one too and I hate not donating and feel for the sales people who are affected but ray watts needs to go. I hope the no confidence sticks and this disease goes away.

Yeah. Withholding the donations we would normally give them is hard, but its one of the few gestures we can make that shows up on a balance sheet. Those SOB's value money most of all. Get Watts out of there and we can get back on track.

I got the same letter, from the Associate Athletic Director? Is that what you got? Reads a lot like the one I have. Said they'd be in touch with you in the coming weeks? I pretty much told them in the letter I sent to them that I was done until Watts was bounced, we get our teams back and UAB has its own BOT and equal representation. They're either in major denial or like you said, so damn delusional that they think we're gullible enough to swallow anything else they have to say, after this!!!???!!!

I think they're checking off boxes. I got mine today and knowing the guy that wrote it I have to feel everyone is doing the dance at the point of a gun. The people in the department know they have more than an uphill battle ahead trying to heal all the hurt

They've got Kiliminjaro to climb to heal this infliction. I don't think I could have made my point any clearer to them that nothing short of complete restoration of our lost sports programs, esp. Football (because they were the primary target to begin with) transparency in the athletic department, equal representation (a BOT for us and UAH) & Watts's dismissal will bring me all the way back in.
