Sort of. Recent history with USM is they would play the top Belt Teams... They've openly pined for more games with ULL, and they've got a history with stAte. Texas State was scheduled pre Sun Belt, and App was more because they needed a home game.

However, it would have to be alarming for a USM fan that a school that previously wanted nothing to do with Troy, and especially nothing to do with USA, is now agreeing to home and home deals. That's got to be a tough pill to swallow, and it shows how much trouble they are having scheduling games.

The return of the TXST/USM game is next year in SM.

It is crazy that Sun Belt and CUSA programs are not scheduling each other in H & H games in all sports, especially football. Regional games are easier for fans, marching bands etc. to be able to travel....All of us need to improve our home atmosphere and traveling fans, traveling bands creates more interest for local fans to buy tickets and get more people in the seats in our stadiums. The UAB situation hits very close to home for a lot of teams......We better wake up and start doing what it takes to grow our programs....

For the most part all of us in G5 conferences are basically the same in terms of financial support, facilities, talent, fan support. Compare the numbers......Not much difference....And when we play each other, there is not much difference either. The good teams each year in each conference are about the same and the bad teams are just that....bad....Just my two cents.....

Merry Christmas to everyone from Jaguar Land.....02-13-banana
