Retweeted a Penn State fathead thing with him on it and now 3/4's of his CB's are to PSU. Lots a tea leaves, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there now. Most of his family outside of his immediate blood is in PA, and he probably got caught up in the big school feel. 100,000 seat stadium is hard to beat even if you won't be playing on that field for 3 years. Plus, there's no telling if the legacy connection is a positive or negative for us...I wish to God he comes here because he could be a plug and play guy and we've sent more than our fair share of linemen to the League, but who knows what all the glitz and glam they through at him will do.

I don't agree with it whatsoever, but I get it.

With the way things are going, I wouldn't be shocked if all four of out top targets (Hawkins, Harris, Montgomery, and Oats) end up somewhere else.

Yeah I think the writing is clearly on the wall now for Hawkins. I'm positive he was a silent at one point but when he allowed things to drag out after he was about to make an early summer decision, I think we knew deep down what was going to eventually happen. Montgomery seems like our best bet out of the 4 guys mentioned.

It does stink... local kid... Bearcat legacy... that being said, on to the next one. I am confident that the coaching staff will replace him with a recruit we will be very excited about.

Keep in mind, a lot changes over the course of the season. A verbal now does not mean a signature on NSD.

Definitely would have been nice having him with the other local guys though.

Well, with the early signing day we're kind of cutting it close.

I could never allow a child to go to a school that was covering for a pedophile for 20+ years.

Correct me if I"m wrong, but isn't the early signing day December 20th-22nd? Not sure how we are cutting it close.

Dead periods got moved up to August too...so less contact time before then.

It's been a week since his visit to PSU, after which he was given several CBs by writers with seemingly little direct connection with the kid. Yet he hasn't committed yet to PSU. What gives?

He is still filming commit videos and a Players Tribune article for his commitment.

Seriously?

Yes. I'm really not being sarcastic.

Either there will be a video (of which he will be filming two endings with different schools, and he'll use the one he picks) and a related Players Tribune article. OR there is just a video, which will be released via Players Tribune.

Good offer list (BC, Minnesota, Pitt, and Rutgers among others) and coming from one of the better high schools in Ohio across all divisions.

Good size at 6 1 and an 86 composite coming out of high school. I am guessing that he will have to sit a year.
