I don't think so but it's possible. From what I've seen so far, I'd have them behind Toledo, Eastern and Buffalo.

Akron looked like a d2 team up here at NDSU. Granted they lost a big player but they were #12 in the cutest fat girl list.....(mid major top 25)

Akron has a really good coach but, on paper, this looks like one of their weaker teams in awhile. It's likely that he'll end up getting more out of them than most coaches would so they'll probably be a factor in the MAC but I think most would say Kent is ahead of them right now. The loss of Treadwell will limit how good they can be this year and it will almost surely take some time for them to learn to live without him.

As for the "mid major top 25", I don't follow it closely but the few times I've looked I've never been impressed. Akron definitely is not a top 25 mid major team right now.

what I wouldn't give for Kretzer and (or) McAdams playing on the wing.

A win is a win against a good mid major opponent. D is going to be our calling card this year. We are going to have to live with a lot of 50- low 60 point games.

GO FLASHES!!!! lets see how we do against UTEP tomorrow

No disrespect to them, but I'd take Dev over the two of them put together.

I am embarrassed that I even typed that! Dev Manley all day.....But I do like McAdams quite a bit. Probably because he was a darn good QB in high school.

NDSU is 6-5 with 2 losses to top 20 teams.....NDSU should end up 22-7 this year and top 1-2 of summit league. So hoping is a "good" win for you guys. Good luck. Win the MAC!

seriously you would take those two one trick ponies over Dev. His game is much more rounded and he can play D!

Earving Morris had 8 pts 2 reb an assist and 4 fouls last night for UTEP as his former teammates cheered him on. Cool. Fun for our guys to see him, I'm sure. Glad he found a place that works for him.

Earvin is a good kid who would have had a great KSU career had he just been a little bit patient. If he is happy, I am happy for him. Hope he has a great season but that he and his teammates lay an egg tonight.
