RE: Sirius College Football Morning show calls the AAC the P6 this morning

When trying to stack up against other conferences what is there besides the OOC? Bowls are important but they are 1 of 5 OOC's....... Think about the "BIG" "10" they schedule 1 other power school OOC and lose then beat up on a bunch of I-AA's and MAC schools or the like and whoever comes out of that conference unscathed is the tallest midget with accolades and then fall on their face during bowl season along with the rest of the conference.
If the AAC is to try and lift themselves up as a group it is going to require administrators to build schedules that allow teams to showcase themselves against upper echelon G5 teams as well as some of the P5 teams. Schedules full of I-AA & SoConn games with a P5 gurantee game just aren't going to cut it. Going head to head with the MW & CUSA and winning will generate momentum... IMHO.
This is what I think would be best for USF...... as a UMass fan I hope the AAC needs more "creampuffs" from the MAC and Independent Ranks.

One host said Ruffin from ECU
I heard that segment on the way to work. That host was Greg McElroy, the former Alabama QB. He's a huge fan of Ruff, and knows him very well. Greg said Ruff was his recruiter to Texas Tech.

Ruff is like no other. Glad to have him in our conference.
He is certainly no Skip Holtz...who brought ECU 2 CUSA Conf Titles...their only conf titles during their 17 year run in CUSA.
Ruff has been at ECU for 5 seasons...still waiting to win his first ever conf title.
I think he meant Ruff is an outstanding person and great representative for ECU and the American. Ruff hasn't won a conf title yet but has won some big games (and lost several he should have won)
Well, so did Skip, he lost plenty of games, Rice 07, NCSU 08, SMU 09, both Liberty bowls and other games. Doesn't matter anyway, Skip was never going to stay and Ruff will not leave until he retires. I'll take Ruff hands down.
