RE: LSU Thread
Excluding the Young Harris game:
3-pointer stats
Norton 13-32 (.406)
Madison 5-14 (.357)
Brown 18-60 (.300)
C.J. 9-31 (.290)
Watts 4-15 (.267)
Baxter 4-17 (.235)
As a team, UAB is .304, which is 264th in college basketball. We need to cut back on 3-pt attempts.

I couldn't watch the game, so I can't comment on how ridiculous his shots were. However, I can look at a stat sheet and see he made 60% of them, ridiculous or not. I also can't see how he airballed two corner threes when he shot two of three from three tonight.
.
Shots from the corners are lower percentage shots. Why? It is all about depth perception and visibility of the backboard when shooting.
As usual, you miss the point while in a hurry to show off your basketball IQ.
The claim was made he airballed two threes. The stat sheet says he was 2/3 from three point range. Do you get it, or should I show off some math IQ.
The two airballs were 2 different shooters.

RE: LSU Thread
I'm guessing with about 7 minutes to go in the game, there was a play where a loose ball went out of bounds on the sidelines away from the scorer's table, the official signaled "LSU", and everyone in the arena went , a time out was called and the official went to their spots amidst a tsunami of boos and vocal unpleasantries, most notable for me was a fan about 4 rows back from that very sideline in section 115, he was really giving those 2 officials on that side an earful the one on the baseline behind the back board near the student section was on the receiving end of the most venom from that guy, that was beautiful I must say, vintage UAB Blazer passion! I and gave that guy because it was a good 3 to 4 minutes of relentless verbage, the official even looked up in the stands at the guy, who did not back off the entire time until play resumed, which got even worse after the replay was shown, and the ball clearly went off the LSU player's leg and out of bounds...I found myself wishing I'd been sitting next to that guy to help him read the Riot Act to those officials. That was fun to watch!

I use KenPom data, and his stats ignore games against non-D1 schools except in the W-L column.

Correct me if I am wrong. After eleven games the teams average overall field goal percentage is 41%. Isn't that a bit below average? It certainly is enough to get you beat at least half of the time.

From KenPom.com:
3-pt = 30.4%, which ranks 265th. D-1 avg is 33.7%
2-pt = 45.7%, which ranks 228th. D-1 avg is 47.6%
FT = 68.5%, which is 176th. D-1 avg is 68.5%
