Unlike a computer, I couldn't close my browser to make it stop. As I got older and bigger the bullies moved on to smaller kids. And look at this, I'm still alive.

If there is a bullying epidemic like we've been led to believe, then how come we don't see suicides plastered all over the news every day? Is there a bullying epidemic or not? Or maybe bullying BY ITSELF doesn't lead to suicides. Ya think? I'm betting the kid was on the edge and, if anything, the bullying pushed him over it. So what pushed him to the edge? Of all the suicides being committed, does anyone know what percentage are factually attributed to bullying? Hell, my dominant cat bullies my two wimpy cats and they don't commit suicide. The pro gay people like to point to homosexuality in animals to show it's normal. But if animals bully each other doesn't that make bullying normal?

But keep playing T-ball where no one loses and when those kids grow up and lose at something, well, you reap what you sow.

I feel bad for the kid and his family. But if kids grew calluses they wouldn't get blisters the first time they do something.

There was a short fat black kid with a hot dog neck that would slap the back of our head or punch our arms when I was in the 6th and 7th grade. He got the same bathroom break as me and a couple other kids. One day, I felt him walk up behind me while I was peeing (he'd also push our butts with his foot so our dick either touched the urinal or we'd piss on ourselves), and he lunged at me like he was gonna hit me. I tried to move my head out of reflex but instead my eye smacked the top of the urinal pipe where that huge hex bolt thing is. It gave me a goose egg right under my left eye.

Never told on the kid, just started working out my arms in the summer between 7th and 8th grade, and practiced punching because I was fed up and decided I was gonna beat his fat ass the next year. He moved away that summer.

But I never once thought about bringing a weapon to school, never thought about hurting him with anything other than my fists. And, of course, the thought of killing myself never even entered my mind.

It is being used as a spearhead to make new laws and policy. It has been the catchphrase flavor of the month for a few years now. Where have you been?

This thread is up for people who want to discuss it. If nobody wants to discuss, it will drop off the page like many others.
I think most of us are just interested in mocking the OP.

Is trolling authorized in the AUP or is it yet another thing that mods can get away with while others can't?

The latter.

RE: Teenage My Little Pony fan APOLOGIZES to internet trolls; threw himself under train
Hey, look! An entire thread discussing nothing!

My guess is this kid was unstable as it was and with a speech impediment got clowned on all the time. Unfortunate to say the least. Couple that with the kids that spend ALL their time on social media- Facebook, twitter, tumblr, redditt, Csnbbs 03-lmfao03-drunk and fall in love with the "attention" they can get there, they begin to believe these nameless, faceless people out there truly are their "friends".

Then the "friends" decide, for one reason or another, perhaps a My Little Pony attraction, to turn on this stunted adult. Now what's he got? Probably feels rejected (yet again), isolated, humiliated, and hopeless.

By and large this one can and should rest at the feet of the parents, "real" friends if he had any or someone else that could or should have seen problems or this thing coming. He probably felt his last refuge had turned to crap and this was some kind of "answer".

Shame.

I'm not sure how what was done could even be considered mocking. Me replying to BleedsHuskieRed with a gorilla meme would be mocking. Deliberately derailing a discussion to get 5 pages of this crap is trolling.

Suicide has been illegal for almost all of the history of the United States, yet people did it anyway. You act as if suicide is glorified here. It isn't. When someone commits suicide everyone automatically assumes that something was wrong with you... that you were depressed for 1 reason or another. Or you had a major chemical imbalance that caused you to think that was the best way forward. It does not glorify you. Even those that were bullied, while felt sorry for, end up being declared as someone who was depressed/had a chemical imbalance.

I disagree. I think the knee-jerk reaction has become to blame the suicide on bullying.

Even if that is the case, how is it glorified? It is always said that there are options, you don't have to kill yourself and that you can find help for whatever the cause is.

Ok, maybe "glorified" isn't the right word, but it becomes both a soapbox and an effective revenge tool.

That'll get you 3 field goals, two touchdowns and a safety too.
