Missouri State starting to crack the zone a little bit. Gotta hold on to this one.

Our defense is slipping.

Luckily our offense isn't. Two quick layups for Nazione, and our lead is back up to 11.

This Marshall kid is ridiculous. Pulling up from wherever on the court he wants to. Travis Bader range.

Ugh Mike has the free throw "yips" again. Trying to put this game away. Up 11 with a minute left.

77-65 final.

Very nice true road win. Way to weather the storm, as Bob mentioned, against a very potent offensive team.

Impressive win after four tough road games.

Playing Dayton, Michigan, MSU and MSU on the road isn't easy for any team.

This game really suggests how good this team is.

Agreed. Before the season, I said I'd be happy with 1-3 over this road stretch, and we went 2-2. This team is absolutely a contender in the MAC, especially when Ward is feeling it.

We matchup well with them...Jodan Price would be the tallest guy in their starting lineup if they had him. Lots of 6'3 guards and some really good shooters, but I think their lack of size will bite them in the end. We should win this game, and if we get ANY offense from KWard, we should win comfortably.

Karrington Ward: 18 points

Comfortable (somewhat) win 04-rock

RE: MSU (2) game - Missouri State
A lot to like about this game, especially on offense. Shot 51% from the field, only missed 5 free throws (all by Talley), and all 9 guys scored. 15 assists too. Still too many turnovers, but I can live with it if we are hitting our shots.

The defense had a few breakdowns in the 2nd half, but a lot of that had to do with Marshall draining some deep, deep threes. They were also money at the FT line, going 18/19. That team will win quite a few games in the MVC. It's a shame they don't have much size, because it seemed like every guy they played could hit a jumper.

Very happy with this win. Let's take out the two cupcakes we have left on our schedule and go into MAC play at 11-2.

Coppin State usually has pretty good teams for their conference.

They're 1-9. If we lose that game it will be a massive, massive disappointment.

Wow, 1-9. This is clearly not one of their good teams, I see an EMU route.

Then again, MSU just lost to 1-8 Texas Southern, so I'm not gonna count my chickens before they're hatched.

Hopefully we don't lay an egg like that. Pardon all of my chicken puns.

Great win for two reasons: 1) Win against a top 9 ranked conference for. 2) It was a bounce back win. 3) it was a win on the road. OK make that three reasons. If we are going to win the MAC, we have to learn to win on the road so this was a nice victory for sure. Go EMU!!!
