Shot 56% from three. They'll be tough to beat if they can drain them at that rate.

My three reactions: 1) Good win for CMU. 2) Good win for the MAC. 3) There are going to be plenty of ticked-off Broncos (myself included) if we don't beat NW on Saturday.

CMU's 7-1 record doesn't impress me nearly as much as beating NW -- and even that is not that impressive considering NW squeaked by Miami OH.

I agree that we should beat them, but don't think for a second they're going to take us lightly after losing this game. They don't want to lose to two directional Michigan's back to back.

How bad is the B1G? Yikes.

I checked NCAA stats and Simon leads the nation in 3 point %.

CMU starters are 17-28 from 2 sans Simons who scores 1 pt in 32 minutes.
Subs 4-6 from 3 leaving 6-12 for starters with Simons 0-3.

Out rebound NW by 9 with 22 on D glass keeping NW from 2nd point opps and FT's. Limits NW to 11 FT attempts.

Clearly, hot shooting paved the way but it looks like controlling the D glass stymied any Mildcat attempt to punish CMU D by getting to the line with put back And 1's.

That offense is a little easier to defend when you've seen lots of film on it like you get during conference play. But if they get it cranking they could beat anyone. If it's not they can lose to anyone.

Article about our game Saturday at Northwestern. I agree Connar is going to play a huge roll but we need David and Austin to assert themselves and knock down some 3's. Defensive rebounding will also be a big key!

Last year Shayne got into early foul trouble and WMU shot the ball poorly.

Olah killed Conner inside getting O boards extending possessions and keeping WMU D on the floor way to long. CT gave up 6-8" including reach. It wasn't funny to watch.

If NW isn't going to play D then WMU has to make them pay dearly.

What the CMU game stats tell me is that the Chips were effective inside the arch. What I don't know for sure is if that was the effect of shooting well outside the arch or vice versa. What it does say is that you don't have to settle for 3's nor have to pound into the block for point blank attempt. Dotted circle, short corner, FT line extended are areas that can be exploited. Catch n shoot or off the bounce but either way it matters.

NW will be ready after this recent embarrassment. Hoping the kids in brown and gold are too.

I like the Lions over the Bears. Bears are in shambles.

NW over WMU. I just don't think we match up well with them.

AF over WMU. Hard to defend an offense that you never see.
