Liberals: Overflowing with acceptance so long as you agree with them. If you don't it is perfectly fine to preach hatred towards you.

Quote:“It’s Okay To Hate Republicans,” writes University of Michigan professor Susan Douglas in an article published Monday, saying that innocent, inquisitive Democrats have fallen victim to the GOP’s mean-spirited rhetoric for the past 30 years.

“I hate Republicans,” Douglass’ article begins. “I can’t stand the thought of spending the next two years watching Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Ted Cruz, Darrell Issa or any of the legions of other blowhards denying climate change, thwarting immigration reform or championing fetal ‘personhood.'”

She goes on to write that she used to have respect for Republicans back in the 1970’s when they were “fiscally conservative but progressive about women’s rights, racial justice and environmental preservation.” Douglas makes no mention that Democrats spent the first half of the 20th century defending and enforcing Jim Crow laws.

I hate "Democrats" (the goals of Obama, Pelosi, Reid). So if she wants to hate Republicans, I'm ok with that.

I don't give a rat's a$$ what she thinks.

Want to take bets on just how full of herself she is?

Preaching hate against a minority group must violate some campus speech code.

the difference UConn.. is that she teaches young skulls so she is going to try to indoctrinate some of her students, and will unfortunately be successful in that regard.

She goes on to write that she used to have respect for Republicans back in the

1970’s when they were “fiscally conservative but progressive about women’s rights, racial justice and environmental preservation.” Douglas makes no mention that Democrats spent the first half of the 20th century defending and enforcing Jim Crow laws.

Just because my mother was born in Mexico doesn't mean I can read Spanish.

Do you assume all Hispanics read spanish? You'd make a great cop.

You fail at English so I was being cordial and welcoming.

Since you don't communicate in either Spanish or English, what language works for you?

Do you ever attempt to have a discussion with people or is your M.O. simply to insult people to make yourself feel important?

RE: University Of Michigan Professor: “It’s Okay To Hate Republicans”…
Once again...when you get down to it...this is much ado about nothing.

First off, the author didn't say "It's okay to hate Republicans" as was quoted in the original story and original post.

Quote:Editor's note: This article was originally titled “We Can't All Just Get Along” in the print version of the magazine. The title was then changed, without the author's knowledge or approval, to “It's Okay to Hate Republicans.” The author rejects the online title as not representative of the piece or its main points. Her preferred title has been restored. We have also removed from the “Comments” section all threats to the author's life and personal safety.

And here's the actual article. Again...much ado about nothing.

We Can’t All Just Get Along
In our era of polarization, one party is guiltier than the other.

And I must agree that I hate Republicans too. Especially when they take things like this and twist them into somehting they're not to constantly paint themselves as victims.

The professor published an article in a print magazine that was picked up online. What evidence you have that she is teaching anything related to this at UM?
