Plenty of successful local and regional promotions across the USA. Ohio Valley Wrestling just aired their 800th TV program this month.

I recently started watching NXT and it's way better than Raw in my opinion.

Corey Maclin killed memphis wrestling not Lawler stick to what you know best left turns

Lawler killed it when he ran off the talent that was coming around and not sticking around because he would not allow anyone else to get the big push. That is no my opinion that is what is being said by a lot of that talent.

Fact is Lawler got his panties in a wad over and incident that started with comments by Doug Gilbert when Gilbert went off script and told all the back stage secrets. Because Hale only punoish Gilbert as severly as Lawler wanted Lawler got pissed off and left Power Pro and took the WWE developmental contract with it. That is when Memphis wrestling was put on live support. But by then it was already relegated to closed movie theaters and closed down shopping centers. Maclins promotion was on life support from day one and never did reach the level of the pitiful Power Pro promotion.

Lawler running USWA in to the ground after Jarret left and then selling to a con man was a major factor. Under his reign it went from a promotion in which WMC paid for the rights to air to a buy time promotion. Jarrett build one of the few local promotions in which the local TV actually PAID them to air the program.

looks like their is a void to be filled and a lot of money to be made. why don't you get off of your lazy, fat azz and start a wrasslin show. im sure youd be very successful at it.

Drops mic

True, but the difference between NXT and Raw is night and day. NXT is the best thing the WWE has done in a long time.

I guess, but somehow the WWE turned Husky Harris into Bray Wyatt.

WWE had to go PG when they went public. That is why you rarely see blood on a WWE show. They went very hard R during the Monday night wars. Once they got WCW out of the way they moved it back toward a family show because it is merchandizing there they make the big money.
