Because that's where the Orange Bowl is played.

NO bowl played in superdome, so that is no excuse

we can put AutoZone Liberty Bowl in AutoZone Park and not worry about tarping the end zones

...but...but...but, at least the seats are blue (though probably the wrong shade).

They have a different arrangement than Sun Life does.

Its just a whole separate bowl game. They choose to play in a different venue. And man, that venue is nice. It just happens to be a baseball stadium most of the time.

Are you saying that the Miami Beach Bowl should be played in the Superdome?

That's what Louisville used to do prior to Papa John's.

Again I say, never a good idea

What difference does that make? The Orange Bowl is like 10 days after our game. They played the Fiesta Bowl and then the BCS Title game in the same stadium within a similar time frame a few years ago. Try again.

Because the Orange Bowl doesn't want another Bowl played in Sun Life. It's their call. Ross makes exceptions for BCS title games, etc because of how much money they make.

When the AAC was creating this Bowl, don't you think they called Ross first before settling with a baseball stadium? Ross doesn't allow it because of their contract with the OB. It's been that way since around 2001 when the Carquest Bowl went north to Orlando.

Marlins Park
Guys, as also a baseball fan, and have attended games at the park, it is very nice for sporting events. Yeah, it will resemble a baseball stadium but you will love the intimacy. Here are a couple of points. First, the lower level is designed so when you leave your seat for food and/or beverages, the concourse is very wide and designed in such a way that you still see all the action. Lots of TVs everywhere and it is intimate. Only seats 37,000 for baseball and that includes the upper deck. I've attended many games at Joe Robbie/Sun Life etc.... named stadium and I bet you'll find the game much more enjoyable at Marlins park. Great concessions with ethnic foods and, if they open the Clevelander, that will a great place to congregate. The stadium is nice and new and has wifi. Enjoy the game.

By looking at that photo I was wondering if they are bringing in some bleachers. Some of those seats are going to be a long way from the field.

The date isn't the point. The fact that the Orange Bowl has a partnership with Sun Life is the point. They're not going to allow another Bowl there.

The New Orleans Bowl and the Sugar Bowl are both played in the Superdome.

This is an out and out embarrassment. Total Bush-League.

I agree, I wonder what the BYU people are thinking about the venue?

That's a completely different stadium with completely different ownership. I agree that it's an embarassment, however.

The players and coaches got what they wanted. I'm going down to support them. If they enjoy themselves AND whip BYU, I will be very satisfied.
