I think all conference champions should make the playoffs with say the at larges to round out a 16 team field. I could agree to this.

His stand in Host recommended it and it is nothing more than a glorified FCS Playoff for the Limbo Bunch we call the G-5 Champs. Bad Idea! An AQ slot for the top G5 team has to be fought for an won during the next incarnation of the playoff. We need to be prepared to win the battle. Which means, we need to start fighting it NOW. The term "anti G5 bias" has to become a well documented fact by the time the next negotiation rolls around.

Grow up? Hold your breath? I'm fully grown and I prefer to look for possible alternatives to your negative view. If you don't care as you say then feel free not to respond to the thread. We won't miss your bright comments, I can assure you.

"We are shut out of it", and "Deal with it" is a total loser view. We may not get anywhere but just "sit back and take it" is not the way to attack this thing moving forward.

I think the G5 can get an autobid to an 8 team playoff with a stipulation like "if the G5 team is ranked in the top 15."

How it should be and will never be. We Ned to be proactive and force
Their hand with an all-inclusive playoff. If they are going to expand they will expand the conferences. Eventually about half of the D1 teams will get securely locked out.

I say create an inclusive playoff outside of the CFB and get the best team you can from each conference and a couple at large teams and go.

Every year, if we are lucky the scoreboard for invites wil be:
CFB: P5-4' G5-0
Access Bowls P5-9, G5-1
Yeah, we are already in the back of the bus (we just haven't accepted it yet), but we are already there. Most of us are still just in denial phase.

Every fan of the F'd 5should be pushing the same question- why isn't there a direct path to a championship in FBS but there is in every other sports league on the planet? everything else is just a distraction.

But, there is no reason to create a separate G5 playoff, just have the G5 reps join the FCS playoffs instead of going to a 'meaning less' bowl. The FCS with their at-large spots would be given to the G5 champs who don't make the Access Bowl then.
