To give you a better idea of the reality out there...

Wake is an okay school... 240k for a 55% shot at a legal job.

That isn't a wise investment for most of those kids, even the ones who get jobs because Wake isn't a feeder for Big Law and isn't in a protected or shaded area.

My biggest problem is with "for-profit" law schools.

The biggest offender is Infinilaw, they own a number of law schools across the country. One of their schools has an average indebtedness of 258k while less than 30% of those folks will get a legal job. Oh yea, Western Michigan recently acquired that school.

Some of the for profit schools at their highest point would receive something like 12k applications and admit 8500. Over 1000 would matriculate.

Texas A&M recently acquired another scam school although it wasn't a for profit.

If you have to pay for all of it?...I agree. So does my Son in Law. Fortunately he got almost a full scholly for his undergrad. He still came out with close to 100K in loans. Wake is fcking silly expensive. Many though that go there don't worry too much about paying for it.

Yes. If I understand it correctly almost all corporate litigation was actually handled via a legal firm.

Tort reform is slowly making ambulance-chasing less profitable.
