Douglas goes down
The reason it's taking so long is due to asbestos removal and recycling of materials.

For those of you interested there is a live webcam of the takedown. Watch your former dorm room get flattened by the wrecking crane!

RE: Douglas goes down
Why would anybody want to buy a piece of concrete? I bet that would raise about $10.00.

Those brown spots would not be rust! I don't care; I'd buy it anyway.

Is it just me or does the bobcat (vehicle not animal) on the roof of the remaining wing on the left seem like a very bad idea?...especially while that wing is currently being demolished from the bottom up!

I've only been on campus for games. Can anyone tell me which building is which? Is the building in the middle (with the cool roof) apart of Douglas?

I imagine they have the wing structurally enhanced and braced to allow it to operate up there.

Yeah, I'm sure they didn't just send up some random bobcat without checking for safety. Just looks super dangerous.

The angular wavy roof building was the central hub of Douglas. That was the center of 4 wings, 2 of which are already gone. The main road will continue thru where Douglas is now to the Convo center to connect the whole campus.
