2015 bb recruiting class.offer vs. signees?
http://espn.go.com/colleges/basketball/r...age/offers

Is this accurate? Did he offer all these guys and 2 of the 3 he got is because he hired their father?

Has this been typical or is this not so good?

It is accurate. And that is somewhat typical, although the frequency is low considering a low percent of highly rated recruits have fathers that coach. Cal's first big recruit was Dajuan Wagner and Cal had to hire his father to get him. One of the highest profile examples is Ed Manning, Danny Manning's father.

FWIW, espn is the only major service that has Dedric as a 4 star. Scout, Rivals and 247Sports all have him as a 5 star in the 2015 class.

We had a numbers situation this year. 2016 is the year you should be disappointed if he isn't able to land higher rated wings and guards due to the playing time that will be there.

Difference is Manning's father was a truck driver where Milt and Keelon are actual coaches.

I think he was a bus driver, but he did play in the NBA and ABA.

247 does a consensus ranking as well. He is the #13 player on the consensus ranking.

I do wish we could have gotten Bacon and Hogg to play for us. It would be awesome to hear Wolo "Bacon and Hogg are in for UofM Memphis".

Question is who has he gotten besides local kids that were coming here regardless of who the Coach was that are big recruits.. Serious question.. I can't think of anyone..

Will Barton is the best example. Iverson was a highly rated guy, too.

That was what I was wondering because I've heard the Barton's were because of Cyprien..

Milt wasn't a coach when he came to Memphis. He didn't have a degree and came in as the Operations Manager or something. He didn't become a coach until he graduated.

Numbers situation??? Lol

If any of those players were available right now, Pastner would play all of them to stimy the slippage. Fact

Numbers situation. jejejeje that was classic

A couple of those are outside the Top 100, so it's not like it should be hard to get those kids. Kendrick, Iverson, Woodson and Geron all had some sort of baggage (personal or academic) that made them an easier get. Barton was Cyp's get...plus Memphis was the only school to be willing to add his brother.

Shaq is the one high level recruit w/o any additional concerns that Memphis has gotten. Now, he was promised he could play football, too. I'm not sure if that was a deciding factor or not.
