Not sure where MAC schools are going with these renovations. I think most realize that within ten years, probably five, the MAC will be shut out of the top tier of football, and basketball may not be far behind. With attendance at college athletics declining nationwide, what is the future? Are we in a "facility race" with the Sun Belt Conference?

In 5 years the G5 will have an auto-bid to CFP Playoff and the CFP money will be even bigger.
The facility is finished, here's a ten-minute tour.
The north bleachers at Yager are being removed, reducing capacity by 1,000-1,500 to approximately 23,000 overall. That's a good number imo, the days of Miami drawing 30k in the late 90's are long gone with TV being so prevalent in college football nowadays; we need to create scarcity for high-profile games once we finally start winning.
We'll probably shed another 500 or so when we replace the season ticket bleachers in front of the press box with club seating (timeline unknown until master facilities plan is released in the spring). North endzone building will break ground later this year and will be completed before the 2016 season.
Miami gets $10MM from Mercy Health to help pay for the new Gunlock Athletic Performance Center (The Gunlock family already pledged $6MM to the facility)
