For those who didn't go tonight
it was a fun game both for the team and the sparse crowd who clapped and stood and cheered. Yes, yes..I know the team we played wasn't very good. Let me be clear..I don't care. These young men seem to be very tight with each other. I was laughing so hard at the bench when Jake McDowell was in. The team needed a fun win. I don't know how this will turn out..but make no mistake, I'm still a TIGER fan.

Hear hear! Fun game! I laughed so hard when the bench exploded on McDowell's 3-pt shot. We need some pics of that. Great game Tigers!

We all do, but at the moment this is what we got. You can enjoy this win or not. The point of this thread is that we really don't care.

Sunshine pumper ... I love it!

Your attitude is awesome. I understand the ire of other fans, but it sure is nice to see the positives in what looks to be a tough season.

Well done.

RE: For those who didn't go tonight
I couldn’t make it tonight. I was involved in a traffic accident that totaled both vehicles. My poor little (paid for) SUV. I thought I could make it but I’m too sore to walk to the mailbox. Oh well, such is life.

I did watch it on TV and recorded it to view later. The guys seem to be putting it together and IMHO this is the best collection of talent we’ve had in a while. Heck even Josh’s rotation seemed spot on tonight so there is a glimmer of hope for a successful season.

One game at a time.........Tonite, IMO, the team took a step in the right direction. The players seemed to have enjoyed a good nite with lots of smiles all around.

Good grief. Glad you are OK. Sad about your SUV.
May your soreness be gone soon.

For those who didn't go tonight
It was nice just to see the young men having fun playing a kids game.

The effort was better. No this team is not going to be great but nights like tonight show what the faces should look like more nights than not.

No selfish play and lots of high fives. Fun indeed.

RE: For those who didn't go tonight
CJP showed more patience with players not being jerked after a bad play, which should help in the future. Kedrin Johnson found a good spot at the 2 guard instead of running the point and drilled a couple of 3 pointers. Pookie and Cunningham were the point guards and with more experience should show improvement, just going to take time like it always does with a first year point guard. Hawkins made some bad plays but stayed in the game (reference patience above) and performed well, getting good position underneath for rebounds.

It's aways encouraging to see folks learn from their past mistakes. Even if it did take six years. Now, maybe CJP will learn from the success he had tonight. Because this was actually a convincing win against a good to decent (not good to great) team.

Glad you were 't seriously injured. You know what they say about everything else...they can be replaced.!

02-13-banana I watched game on ESPN 3 (Internet) and it was fun. The announcers constantly praised Pookie and said that Memphis has found their point guard. The cameraman replayed the bench erupting and waving towels and jumping up and down and laughing when the kid from Christian Brothers hit those three's. It was great to see them enjoying themselves for a change. GO TIGERS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
