But I'll say it now. USC Upstate could be a dogfight. And I'm not kidding either.

I agree, we are in no position to take anyone lightly. We have a loooooong way to go. Thats why it feels just a little better to have won so easily tonight.

I like a blowout win but beating cupcakes doesn't do too much for me. All it does to some on here is hide the same deficiencies we've been talking about with pastner for years.

Let's beat some real teams.

This is where I can't stand the anti-Pastner crowd. Pastner was expected to be in the final four in year two. And then he had a group hang over his head a record of top 25 wins (or lack thereof). When he finally had a season where he won several top 25 games there were those on here that still hated him. I don't know if I think Pastner is the right guy or not but it is those types of "miserables" that make me ok with giving him time this year....again. I feel like there is a group of people on here that are so hellbent on being right that they look forward to (sub-consciously) the Tigers losing games....just so they can say "see, I was right."

I don't think it's even subconscious.

Maybe not. But it is those people that make me cheer for Pastner. I just can't imagine how much hate you have to have for a person to cheer for them to fail so that you can see them fired...

Some say they support the players but want Pastner to lose.

It's like saying they hate the General and want him to lose every battle..which would result in the death of the troops. That's what I call a severe disconnect from cause and effect. I just made that up. lol

I think that they have no clue how hard it would be to attract a "real" coach if the prior coach, with a winning record, was ****canned mid season.
Maybe we could hire Tic to run some *****s again.

They don't think past a certain point. It's just blame the coach fire the coach. They don't seem to go beyond that.

What path is there to a solution after you blame the coach. It stops there. No movement. Coach is here to stay this year and maybe the next.

Plus, there are bigger things happening in this program.

Supporting one view over another doesn't mean anything. Some people in the world run around burning crap up just because they like to see things burn, doesn't mean their vision for the future is great. Just because one supports Cjp & the other doesn't has no baring on their vision.

What I want to know is, after 6 years of CJP, how is your vision better than mine?

But, what is your vision for Tiger basketball? Long term? & how do you see us getting there?

It's not about vision as much as it's about solutions within parameters that are already set up.

Pastner hasn't been here six years. He's only beginning his sixth.

That's where there is a flaw in philosophy. Where there is no vision is where the failure begins. Everything starts with an idea. A vision for the future. A step by step process that's seen clearly as years go by. Where this is no progression is either a result of a flawed process or no vision at all. I have a vision for Tiger basketball and even how I feel I can help over the next 2 decades. I'm putting it into play as we speak. We all play a part. What is your vision? & where is there evidence today that those currently in control of Tiger basketball have a clear vision.

Going back to march of 2009 this program has been his baby for 5 years & 9 months.

I am a person of action-- figuring out a way to fly into Memphis for a week and go to the BB games to support the players.

I am also buying many tickets for the Miami children to watch our FB game. BYU committed to this bowl at the beginning of the season. They have been planning for it and have the attendance edge. We need people there repping Memphis.

:)

I envision a planet where there is evenness so that conflict pain and struggle will lessen appreciably, and folks will be more balanced in all ways.

-Good night, everybody.

My vision is for Big12 championships & final fours.

What worries me about CJP supporters is that they've fallen into his mantra that winning is hard. Final fours are not a birth right. If he says & believes these things then he has no place in a top 25 program. Because the goal should always be championships. Then eventually you get one. Not every year. Not final fours even every 5 years, but you can clearly see the progression towards it.

But if your vision is for championships then you outline a plan to make it happen. I don't see that with our current circumstances.

What is your vision?
