In the same sense Notre Dame has with the ACC? I am torn. I'd love the add and the sos bump we'd enjoy as well as the expanded travel but having them possibly taking our champion out of bowl and having their own tv money kind of dissuades me. However, playing BYU on tv could give us a ratings bump bc of their national cache. Still a little torn on it.

I'd hold out for Texas. Bigger name, would really help the AAC.

Read the stipulation first.

I don't think we gain anything more than we already have by an NDesque agreement

They are about the only marquis name out there that would be a value added addition to the AAC.

We basically have a relationship now as a partial member. We give them a few games every year. They are part of the Miami bowl which is owned by the aac. Honestly unless we get our contract in the $6-7 million this isn't even feasible.

Our football side will be fine even though the league stunk this season. I'm more worried about the hoops side.

Yea, I still take that deal all day. ND plays basketball and host the majority of their sports in the ACC.

BYU basketball to the American and guaranteed scheduling in Football. Yea, I wouldn't hesitate to take that deal.

How sexy would the American logo look on BYU's basketball court?

It'd still be tough to schedule Olympic sports with the whole no Sunday play thing. It may be too tough to overcome despite the deal.

I think that BYU will eventually join a conference for football, but that'll be 5-6 years in the future, IMHO

IDK, NG

BYU could of created a strong backbone with the old Big East/AAC but decided not to.

BYU has 7 games scheduled for 2020. None of which are AAC teams. That doesn't seem like they are betting on being here then.

My BYU support is lowsly evaporating... AAC should and only focus at North East presence.

I agree. Given UMass is going independent soon I would be more likely to work with them to help build their program. Then in the event another round a realignment occurs they may be at a level we would consider adding them.
