Once they figure out how much to pay to compensate athletes they will make it again.

Nope...they stopped in house maintenance on that right after they cancelled production of 15. I have a buddy who works for EA, and he basically says they will be keeping the server support online for 6 years, he figures that's when everything will be figured out so they can continue the series. In the meantime, OperationSports does update rosters monthly during the season for performance, transfers, graduations, NFL Draft, and what not, so that kind of makes it a "new" game every year. Unfortunately, I think they stopped with the worst iteration of the series...graphically 14 is almost hard to play, and the commentary is just stale as all hell. Not to mention the random, yet constant, freezing during Dynasty mode.

IIRC, the rights aren't exclusive, at least for football.

Most of the athletes in the game were worth $1.

I agree with you here. I wish I had kept NCAA 13, that version IMO was the best one they made. I'll probably pick it up again soon

Again, emphasis on the most.

Tebow and Manziel are outliners. Most of the players could be replaced with generic templates with no harm to the product or sales.

College Hoops 2k8 is still very fun. It's under 20 bucks if you can find it, I highly recommend checking it out. It's the DRose Tiger team on it too.

I've got College Hoops 2K7, and I absolutely love it. I just wish that when I put draft classes from it into NBA2K7, the colleges wouldn't change. For example, if you have somebody from UH imported into NBA2K7, the college changes to Florida Atlantic. On the other hand, if you have somebody from Manhattan University imported into NBA2K7, it changes to UH. It's really weird.
