The unfortunate reality is that the team is a dysfunctional mess from top to bottom and will only be able to win games against severely outmanned opponents. Any team will a pulse will beat us home or away........

Tell that to Georgia Tech. SC Upstate beat them.

But not a dear dear friend. Josh must hate him.

NC Central's RPI is 94, according to ESPN. This would be a bad loss for NC Central if that happens.

Tigers are 95 in Ken Pom. The highest rated team with a losing record, fwiw.

NC Central is 118. Ken Pom has Memphis winning 59-54. Should be a barnburner.

CBS and Real Time RPI have us 186 and 196. or vice versa.

Crazy KenpPom stat of the day:

Memphis' most FREQUENT lineup (Pookie, Woodson, Burrell, Austin, Shaq) has been used 6.5% of the time. Most schools most frequent lineup is used at least 14% of the time and some more than 20% of the time.

RPI is still a hot mess in December. Hell, it's always a hot mess. Has little to no predictive value whatsoever.

Sagarin Predictor has Memphis winning by 0.61 points. Ooof.

Remember that KenPom's rankings are still weighted for his preseason values until late December or so. He started us at 30, so that pre-season ranking is still making our overall ranking (94th) look better than we would otherwise look in an unweighted ranking.
