How each Belt team fared against expectations
SB Nation has an interesting article about how all 128 FBS teams did against pre-season expectations this season but I broke out the Belt schools below. Many have been saying the Sun Belt was down this year and after looking at this I have to agree:

http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...pectations

Belt Team +/- wins vs expectations
Georgia Southern +4.5
Appalachian St +3.5
Texas St +1.5
Arkansas St -0.5
New Mexico St -0.5
Georgia St -1.5
S. Alabama -1.5
UL Lafayette -1.5
UL Monroe -1.5
Idaho -2.5
Troy -3.5

We're going to have a fine football conference. You newcomers just need to learn to pull your weight.04-cheers

I like the way their 'projections' included half games.

If your squad led for half a game but lost, is that still a half win?

I was thinking it was really saying they could go either way for example if they predicted 7.5 wins then what they are really saying is 7 to 8 wins. Given that logic any team +0.5 or -0.5 really is just about where they should have ended up.

Yeah, seems like they were all set up like over/unders with no chance for a push.
