On a more important note, what happened to the rest of the UNC band? There are like 30 of them and they didn't even come on the field at halftime?

You sure they didn't have paper bags over their heads?

They sounded better than UNC played. This is the kind of game that gets coaches fired.

Unfortunately it won't happen. We don't want to pay the buyout. Our only hope is he gets a job somewhere else, but at this point who would take him............

It boggles my mind why UNC fans were so high on Fedora to begin with. His stint at USM wasn't some magic dream ride. It was very average with one good year ... after which he rewarded their loyalty by immediately bolting and then USM completely collapsed.

Tried to catch lightning in a bottle.

The problem is there are some games you can see the potential but then the stupidity comes out. This year we beat Duke and Georgia Tech...almost beat Notre Dame in South Bend....but then get crushed by NC State, Rutgers, ECU, Miami.

At this point, I don't think Fedora can handle a program at this level.

He has 4 years left...oh my...if I am not mistaken he been there for 4 years already and this is the result...wow...

Nah this is year 3 of a 7 year deal.

Ok...still not good....don't see any improvement at all and it is not due to lack of talent...

Notre Dame is not good. Duke was a manufactured product of the weakest schedule I can ever remember of any ACC team. You got GT before their defense turned the corner in the Pitt game.

Not my point. Every single one of those teams are better than Rutgers.

Looks like almost no NCST fans in St. Pete ... and quite a few UCF fans.

And ugh -- another game in a damn baseball field.

I'm glad the ACC marketing has gotten better this year. The ACC-CG packages were good. And the commercials were much better.

CH looked awful in their game. It is really hard to understand that they can be so consistently unimpressive. They constantly out recruit ECU and NC State, getting most of the best instate prep players and good players from all over the country. Not that I'm complaining.

Nice win for the Wolfpack. Always good for depth purposes to see the 5th place team from the Atlantic that was 3-5 in league play take down a G5 co-champ. Momentum for NC State heading into next year.

UNC looked like garbage. Rutgers dominated the Heels and Rutgers was only bowl eligible because they beat a steady dose of mediocre in the regular season. The Scarlet Knights were 2-5 against .500 or better teams, and the wins were over 7-5 Navy and 7-5 Maryland. In other words RU didn't beat a Top 50 team on the year and they controlled a more talented UNC from start to finish.

Great sign for the Atlantic Div. going forward. If we can have at least 5 of the 7 teams be tough: FSU, Clemson, Ville, BC & NC State, then that will really help things and most importantly perceptions.

What chance does Georgia Tech have to beat Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl? It all comes down to motivation, in my opinion, as the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets present a far closer matchup than the Vegas line is giving credit on neutral turf. Particularly impressive is the fact that Tech is not just opportunistic in getting turnovers, but the defensive crew is also great at turning those turnovers into points by themselves. Here's the link to my detailed look at the game...

If this was a week 7 or 8 game I'd likely agree with your sentiment, but we're giving HC Dan Mullen & DC Geoff Collins three to four weeks to prepare for this match-up. I think each team will make their plays no doubt, but I think this will be a 20-14 type game.

Cincinnati has looked way more impressive than Tech in the first half. They're getting pressure on our QB, picking up yards in big chunks, almost at will and we are not getting any pressure on their QB. It's amazing that VT has a lead at half time.

VT 13 - Cincy 10
