Have faith in Fuente getting a replacement. He is good at evaluating players and staff. Bill Clark is a free agent.

actually it is GOOD NEWS for us!

1) It means that Odom believes that we will not be hiring a head coach this year!

2) It means that our program is good enough that coaches CAN move up ..have you heard any coaching grave yard comments lately?

3) It also means that Fuente will have a group of qualified candidates looking to move up the coaching ranks --they will see Memphis as a good career move! (I know this is similar to 2)

Most likely it will be their d-Line coach Craig Kulogowski, but if it is offered to Barry Odom expect him to take it almost immediately.

This is the thing that hurt Tommy West a lot. He had several coaches leave and was never able to get replacements as good as those 3 or 4 guys. Hope JF can find good people if it happens.

Replacing Fichtner with Helton was a killer.

Yep, sure nuff. Also there was a defensive coach that TW liked a lot and trusted. I forget his name (Tim something). He went to the NFL as well.

Helton is currently the OC at Southern Cal. Still running that bubble screen too.

More likely Craig Kuligowski,and Odom stays...But if he does get offered be tough to turn down for him...If we lost Odom which i don't think we are because Craig Kuligowski will probably be promoted , we could then Look to Kuligowski then to replace Odom, who would be on Coach General Justin Fuente list as would Hunley and Walters, And a few others....But Pretty sure it goes to Kuligowski and Odom stays for next year.....The World Is Ours Memphis...
