Watts's preference for the east side of campus is already known but what is the status of the entire master plan? The new section at uab.edu/plan has scrubbed all mention and references to a campus master plan. Not surprisingly, that happened shortly after Watts was hired as Pres.

Watts is probably planning to implement his master plan and then explain it to people later.

Why build all of those new undergrad buildings?
That connection to the Railroad Park? Not needed.
Focus on 1 or 2 things and excel at those.

This made me chuckle. Gotta laugh sometimes to keep from crying.

The NEW Master Plan is awaiting the enrollment figures for fall 2015 to see if UAB still needs what it has already built. How was B'ham-Southern's enrollment affected by dropping athletics to D3 (but with football)? Perhaps we failed to notice there are no building plans past 2016 either.
