JT Trauber subs in at 1:40 for Guercy. I believe this is JT's first action this season?

3pter for JT Taruber at 1:04 in 2H Nice job!!

Rice leads 72-55.

Nice to get a win with some breathing room. Can't remember the last time that happened

11 point win which is a little disappointing since the the 2nd unit was badly outplayed.

RE: MBB - Rice vs. St. Thomas
Final Stats: Rice 72 -61 St Thomas
Rice now 3-6 on the young season, and a little 2-win streak heading into the game at Lamar on Dec 22nd.

Rice FG 23-62, 37.1%
Rice FT 15-18, 83.3%
Rice 3-Pt 11-37, 29.7%

St Thom FG 18-44, 40.9%
St Thom FT 13-20, 65.0%
St Thom 3-Pt 9-18, 50.0%

Drone 16pts 10rebs with a double-double
Gearhart 15pts 11rebs with a double-double!
Mency 13pts 5rebs
Jackson 12pts, 5rebs, 3 asst
JT Trauber with his first Rice points, a 3pter: he's shooting 1.000 from the field for the season!
Jeremy Jones with 2 pts
Jordan Reed gets 4 rebounds
Joey Burbach snags a rebound
Nate Pollard with 4 rebs.

I think Denzel Davis is the only one not to play (Oliver Xu dropped off the team earlier in season.)

The second half run against the 2nd unit was amazing when you look at the stats from midway into the second half when we had a 33 pt lead to those at the end. Agree with Whitten you should always be able to play defense.

One nice thing about the early tip off- we have all three of ESPN's daily top performers, at least for the next few hours.

That was mostly the 3rd unit. The first two units, or top 8 - 9 players, built the lead up to 25+ points before taking the foot off the pedal. Weren't we up by 31 with 7.22 left to go, which is when Coach Rhoades started to empty the bench?

Well Rivers was on the bench this game so he has reappeared-he must be in the doghouse, but again no sign of Davis. Agree on the feel bad for Todd Smith, one of the really good guys. Missed this game last year and so I had forgotten how great Autry can be with a full crowd or a large one. Maybe last time was UH 3 seasons ago or has it been since Michael Harris was a senior. Some day hopefully again.....

Good win but I hope we don't ever play these lower Division teams as much as this year but not Couch Rhoades fault.

Rivers has been injured so his minutes are limited. Should see more PT as he gets better. RUMOR has it that Davis is suspended for something that happened in Alaska. Don't know any details.

I was at the TAMU game in 2008 (Tudor's opening season, and the day after the Texas Bowl win against WMU) and it was full then (attendance 5208)... Harris must've graduated in 2005 or so. Versus Texas in 2009 (4669) was probably the next best bet.

Yeah, I remember those games now. Clearly were the peak games post remodeling.
