RE: Football Banquet
I'm guessing that the defensive scout team player of the year was either Ty Harmston or Russell Chambers since they each were named defensive scout team player of the week three times this season. See the bottom of page 23 of the latest game notes.

RE: Football Banquet
It appears as if Eakes played at a level that statisically may have been less impressive than his actual value to the team; glad to see DaRon Brown get the recognition he deserved; Loos was deserving of his accolades given all he has been through. Ryan Brown has been under the radar and under appreciated. He has had an incredible career.
Santa may not have the respect of those on this site, but he clearly seems to have the respect of his coaches and his teammates; He has emerged as the leader of this team. It is a shame that Bass was robbed of his senior year; he contributed so much over the last four seasons. Overall congrats to a phenominal senior class...lets get 1 more!

If they're committed to holding the signing event at Aquaviva, wouldn't it be closer to hold it at the Aquaviva in Sycamore?

Never been to either, but I like the location as it makes it a but closer to folks in the far west suburbs...Geneva etc..

Yup its 14miles closer for me too.

On a site note I was told back in 02, by a guy that did contractor work, that the large house directly to the South of this building was at the time Cindy Crawford's (or her parents) area house. This was before the vineyard was there.

I think Aquaviva has a place in St. Charles too. Taking over, it seems. I've never been inside it but I hear good things. I just drive by it a lot.

I had their wines in the Champions Club pre-game tent, and they are quite good. They are a good new sponsor for NIU.

Maybe I'll stop by when it gets warmer, then when I'm drunk, find my way across the street and sleep amongst the grapes that made me feel so good.

Yes there were a lot of recruits at the banquet. Like I said though I had a beer so I couldn't leave the separate donor event until it was time for the banquet ceremony to start.
