Curb stomped in every loss so far.

But, but we won the first half against Baylor.

Memphis should not get curb stopped as often as we have been getting in the last few years. We are not Duke or UNC, but we are a National top 25 program!

Not trying to be a smart alec, but that really is the issue when it comes to any sports program. Only one thing causes a change in coaching staff-- losses.

Either a team has too many and fires its coach.

Or another team has too many and hires someone else's coach.

It's ALL about the losses.

You're actually exactly right. The "fire pastner now" meatheads would still be saying dumb shat but wouldn't be quite as chicken little about it if these had been W's

*sigh* You couldn't be more wrong. I've been saying for years there's no real offense and at best, our defense has been suspect. Most of us would rather have a coach who knew what he was doing on the court and a team that wanted to win and played their hearts out each and every game. We have not had that in years.

Most of us can deal with losses and over the last 30+ years i've seen every single Memphis basketball game played. I remember the teams that played their hearts out, that played above their potential. We just haven't had that under Pastner.

But whatever the case, at least I don't name call or threaten like some here on this forum. So many on this forum over the past three years have been run off for their opinions. I'm not going to be run off nor will my voice be quelled.

It's about being COMPETITIVE and forcing RESPECT!!!

If the Memphis Grizzles lose a game, we know FOR A FACT WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT the following:

1). That the team played with all heart and did not back down!!

2). Displayed a offensive and defensive system that is obvious to recognize.

3). Were competive in most games against good - elite teams.

Most fans, even the Pastner bashers, would not call for his head if we lost games RESPECTFULLY. If we play good basketball, most fans would be satisfied even in rebuilding years (i.e, Justin Fuente- Last year, his team was always competitive and forced respect even in loses).

Lastly, Memphis basketball was repected among the National media and other fans bases. Now, I start to sense that we are looked as a joke of a program. And that lost of respect can trickle down to other areas that will effect our programs LONGTERM!

Yesterday, in a measured tone, the announcers suggested that many of our fans are psychos.

Yes you are right Josh is good,

You never give him credit for any of the wins, and now it supposedly isn't about the losses. Funny.

I don't want for our program to go down a similiar path.

Pastner saved us from that. If we don't hire Pastner, we wouldn't have found a better alternative than Tic Price, Johnny Jones, Lorenzo Romar, Steve Robinson...

People don't appreciate anything that he has done. We went 6 years without making the tournament bookended by Larry and Cal.
