RE: MAC BBall WK6 (12/14 - 12/20)
Buffalo wallops a bad Niagara team at home 88-62. Justin Moss with his third double-double in a row and fourth in five games. It's the third game in a row Buffalo has led virtually wire to wire, giving up the lead only on the first basket.

Strange start: Buffalo was assessed a technical for Shannon Evans dunking in warm-up before the game started, so Niagara started with 2 free throws before tip-off. It's the first time I've ever seen that called.

Buffalo is now 7-2 and will head to Wisconsin on December 28.

This same issue made national news earlier this week. North Florida got T-ed up for the same reason before its game against Tennessee Tech - and ended up losing by 2.

One of UT's opponents, I think bucknell, got T'd up before the game. First time I had seen that.

They used to do that in HS but I see guys dunk in warmups all the time. I knew the rule was still on the books but I've not seen it enforced before this year.

Broncos played the second half like dog doo and lost to a bad Northwestern team. Won't even beat MAC bottom feeders with an effort like today.

Only enforced once the refs come out. Can dunk all you want before that

EMU showed that we're 'Eastern' not 'State'.

I think State had to earn it. They didn't just come out and sleep walk to an easy win. They were ready for us.

I was at the game last night, Steve. I thought your guys acquitted themselves pretty well. A combination of bad shots and missing the open ones did them in.

That, and MSU is pretty good.

Very good teams make good teams look mediocre even though EMU isn't (mediocre).

MSU loses to Texas Southern, who was 1-8 entering the game. 71-64.
