RE: Big week of recruiting
Good. I really think we are going to be back to winning 7-10 games the next 2 years with a better quarterback/line. I still worry about our defensive coordinator. We need a great offense to compensate for the coaching on defense.

Maybe they surprise next year, however, we are locked and loaded for '16 and beyond especially if we add some transfers in the trenches.

Congrats to LB Diondre Wallace (6-1, 235, 4.6 40) on making the Sun's All-Met team.

RE: Big week of recruiting
Home opener is against St Francis on September 12.

I was told that we are still trying to find a pay game for the opening week but may play a division II game instead.

Future schedules also are as follows, based off a document I was given at an letterman's open house held at the 2013 spring football game.

2016
9/3 at South Florida
9/10 St Francis

2017
9/9 at Maryland
9/16 at St Francis

2020
9/5 at Maryland

RE: Big week of recruiting
I would guess we are going to play Elon either on Sept 26th or October 3rd on the road.

I'll take a wild guess at the schedule

Sept 6th @ ECU?

Sept 12 St Francis

Sept 19th Holy Cross

Sept 26th @Elon?

Oct 3rd Bye?

Oct 10th JMU

Oct 17th @ Stony Brook

Oct 24th Villanova?

Oct 31 Delaware

Nov 7th @ Maine?

Nov 14th @ Tribe

Nov 21st Rhode Island?

With a young team, our level of play should be trending upward for the next two years. I'd like to see a solid Freshman QB brought in to keep pushing QB's on our roster.

Talking about LB’s, what’s Bryton Barr’s status?

future FBS opponents;
2015 ECU
2016 South Florida
2017 Terps

He's got 2 years left. Pretty sure he redshirted in '13 after getting hurt in the second game. Hopefully he is lifting heavy to get durable. Not sure you can rely on him, injury prone. He's real good when healthy.

Barr should have three years left (NCAA should give him a second medical redshirt). He played as a true freshman, got hurt in the second game of the 2013 season, then missed all of last season.

SHOULD. Not always the case with the NCAA. Just ask Grant Elder. He HAS 2years left. Whether that third ever becomes reality, is yet to be seen. I hope it happens, but 6th year players are a rarity.

I miss you too 17.

RE: Big week of recruiting
Grant Enders was a great qb at Towson. Could have been here for 4-5 years had the coaching change between Gordy and Rob been more seamless. Enders wanted to come to Towson out of HS but the new staff did not keep the offer out there, so he went to Holy Cross, then Lackawanna, then to Towson for the last two years. Had it not been for participation in a JV game as a freshman at Holy Cross he would have gotten the extra year. Tough break, could have cost us a national title in 2013 as he was a major weapon.

The JMU Board is saying they are getting their own impact transfer, better upgrade our O'Line with some impact transfers of our own if this is the case.

Noah Spence? Looks like he would be tough to defend against but it's questionable if he'll even play.

Quote:"The Big Ten permanently banned Ohio State defensive end Noah Spence Tuesday for multiple failed drug tests. Media named Spence to the All-Big Ten first team last season. "
http://www.si.com/college-football/2014/...neligibile

Quote:Shortly after being declared permanently ineligible by the Big Ten Conference, former Ohio State defensive end Noah Spence tweeted that he would turn pro.

Anyway, they also brought in an impact player last year with Vad Lee transferring in from Georgia Tech.

Olsen has had far more issues, dating back to his jersey days.

Both kids were busted for things that are typical of a college student, they'll serve their punishment and correct the behavior or be gone. I like the fact that some higher profile players have transferred into the conference, certainly would like to see the trend continue.

One kid took exctasy, spent 3 years at OSU, was serious about his studies, and has entered and gone through rehab.

Olsen got kicked out of the U........ after like the 6th strike in 3 years. Olsen is not a typical college student, never has been.

Both effed up, but taking Olsen is a joke. Sell it however ya'll want.
