Congratulations, eastisbest
Some time ago UT rolled the marketing campaign with the slogan:" UT turned my dream into a job". Our own eastisbest responded that it should have said "UT turned my dream into a career". I was perusing the new hoops program when I noticed an ad on the back featuring The story of former UT hoopster Courtney Weiss who got a job with the same company for which her father worked. The ending tag line? "uT turned my dream into a career". Don't know if east's remark had anything to do with the change and I'm sure others had feelings similar to east's but this isn't t the first time I've seen changes in stuff that reflects ideas or thoughts posted here.

RE: Congratulations, eastisbest
Had me scared there, lol. Thought I'd passed some posting milestone saying I needed to find a life or something, mmm, what time is it?

I do think we have some great brainstorming sessions here: Alumni Pavilion, remodel on Glass Bowl... Thanks for the credit. Whatever its source, hope the idea works for UT and that it sparks an even better idea from someone. If the idea did come from me, well, crap against the wall and all that.

I hear what you're saying about ideas from message boards. Many have the same thought about the same thing at the same time and even if someone does get an idea from a message board, well, they're the ones that put it to work! I do belief in giving credit but what idea isn't based upon the thousands of things one has encountered? Rather the improvement than someone saying, "if it's not MY idea, I'm not going to use it." Ideas are meant to be built on without ego.

If someone is reading message boards for ideas, well good for them. They are likely reading ideas contrary to their own and that's not an easy thing to accept. Good for them for being open minded.

I REALLY wish I had been that message boarder that thought of the Game of Thrones parody for the B10 conference because then it would have been done for a good conference. After all...

It's all about dem Rockets! (my next great slogan)
