Crowd should applaud anyone who refuses to shake hands. Should boo whenever someone actually shakes his hand. Who would shake hands with the man that's trying to destroy the value of their degree?

Note inside ceremony program pleads to public not to cause disruption and in essence allow folks who have traveled from around the country to just recognize their graduates achievement.

I hope the majority of the graduates show some passion and boo Watts loud and proud. There were talks of just turning around and not facing him when he talks. Many people won't shake his hand. I personally am rooting for them to cause a scene, which I think will be pinned on Watts for being a liability who can't even make basic public appearances anymore.

Out of all due respect for Seniors and for UAB, I am in sincere hopes that another member of UABs Administrative Staff, perhaps Provost Linda Lucas, Ph.D is prepared to step forward and perform the ceremony in place of Watts.

Lucas is doing the speech. He's there but not shaking hands, just watching the line go past.

Lucas performed the whole thing. Watts did not move from his seat on the stage at any point during the graduation. Talk about a cop out.

They had a table between the line of walking grads and the line of dignitaries where Watts was seated.
