I kinda like it. He's got a point about the lack of contrast with blue-on-blue.
I'm not so much a stickler on bringing out non-traditional unis, but when we use blue and gray I think they definitely should be the official colors.

I was just quoting the website. I guess they actually called it a white Siberian tiger.
At any rate, if we continue on with the the leaping tiger logo, I would be ok with losing the orange and going with the albino look. Then again, I wouldn't be heartbroken if the university came up with a new, modern logo either.

I actually like the white tiger design. I too would prefer a new logo, maybe we can time it with our entry to the Big 12.

Our logo now has decades of tradition and valuable national recognition. Moreover, the blue "M" plus a diving Tiger strongly identifies it with the University of Memphis. The tiger striped "M" is weak by comparison (not to mention cheap and tacky).
I agree that blue on blue is a bad idea - we can blame Rip Scherer for that. I said it was a bad idea from the beginning. He actually said "teams just don't have helmets with a different color than the jersey", ignoring such examples as the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State, UCLA and numerous others. Personally, I recommend medium gray helmets (with matte finish) instead of silver and the Tiger should be vegas gold (which looks incredibly good on a gray background) instead of orange. It is heartbreaking how we squander the opportunity to have one of the sharpest uniforms in all of college football. Dark royal blue, pms 280, reflex blue, sapphire blue or whatever else you want to call it is not only the perfect compromise between light royal blue and navy blue, but also conforms with the university brand standard recommended by professionals. Nike's baby blue sucks like a Hoover.
