word from a faculty senate member on leadership at UAB
I have been corresponding with a faculty senate member that i have a personal relationship with. They confirmed what we all know. They told me that this leadership has been undermining our university for years. Quote: "its like there has been 6 inches of gasoline on the floor for years and no one has noticed. Now someone lit a match (killing football)."

We all have to stay strong and do all we can to change how our university is run or they will destroy all of the potential that UAB has to be great. They want us gone, but we won't go quietly. Please contact your state representatives and lets get some support for what Rep. John Rodgers and Rep. Jack Williams are trying to do.

I think it's important to keep contacting the BOT as well. Not all are completely hostile and Watts is playing chicken with the students, faculty and worst of all SACS. Pressure is going to have to come from them as well.
